Farmhouse Dinner with Friends
I know we are only knee deep into the summer season, but when inspiration hits – you have to go with it while you’re in the spirit, right?! When I caught wind that Yankee Candle is releasing a new lineup of scents this fall, the excitement and anticipation set in and before I knew it I had pulled out my pumpkins and a festive fall tablescape was in full swing!
Yankee Candle has truly harvested the fragrances of fall with their Farmers Market Collection! Featuring hints of homemade treats and fresh-picked fruits, my introduction to this set of fall scents was love at first.. sniff!
The home fragrance hero we chose to highlight for this tablescape is Golden Chestnut. The endearing aroma is so cozy and inviting, like grabbing a scoop of warm chestnuts roasted with ground spices, woodsy herbs and a touch of citrus! While it may fall into the autumn category, we really felt it would be totally appropriate to burn anytime!
The packaging Yankee Candle utilizes is clean and classic so it’s easy peasy to work their products into your centerpieces! You may be familiar with my fetish for trays… For this fall tablescape we organized three candles in varying heights on my galvanized metal tray, then simply scattered some fruits and greens as filler!
For each personal place setting, I pulled out some of my equally reliable and versatile wood cut pumpkins I picked up at a craft show and popped them under white plates and over craft paper placemats like a pretty little place setting sandwich.
To reflect the theme of the gathering, you could fill a market bag with fruits and veggies from your personal garden or the community farm stand as a take home treat that doubles as decor! We love to layer and vary heights in our tablescapes, and this homegrown hostess gift with a festive fall tag fits the bill as a tall topper for this place setting!
I always advise that one way to celebrate on a budget is to use what you’ve already got! But sometimes you need items you simply don’t have in your stash. For this tablescape, the disposable runner and all the paper products were picked up from Hester & Cook. I absolutely adore their affordable American made products!
Whether or not you are planning to host a farmhouse dinner with friends, perhaps you are equally as enticed as I was with the news of the upcoming candle collection! Should you also be anxious to bring home the farm stand experience with Yankee Candle’s Farmers Market fragrances, the inside scoop is that select stores are stocking them now! The lineup is also available on the YC website and will make its debut in all participating locations this July!
