Looking for the perfect decadent dessert to dazzle everyone at your fall festivities?! Search no longer! This Snicker Salad is sure to be the sensation of the dessert section on the menu!
Why are party beverages so overlooked? They deserve a little dazzle and themed detail too 😉 Today I’m going to show how EASY and SIMPLE it is to add a major punch (no pun intended) at the beverage bar. ha! I make myself laugh.
First, lets start with the ice cubes. No more last minute trips to the nearest gas station to pick up the XL bag of those awkward WAY-TO-BIG chucks. From now on, commit to the cubes. Spending a few minutes each night leading up to your par-tay will add color, detail, and will be just another way to continue with the celebration. This week I’m preparing for July 4th. I’m using red, white, and blue food coloring. I’ve also pulled out those plastic ice cube trays. Find them at the Dolla Store if you don’t have any. 😉
Calories don’t count when the dessert is light, whipped, airy, and includes lots of freshly picked local strawberries, right? 😉 Not today aDOORable friends. Boy, do I have a treat for you. Over the weekend I spent some time experimenting with a trifle. But not just any ol’ trifle, I wanted to find the P E R F E C T Strawberry Shortcake Trifle! I think I nailed it.
If I told you, that you were only 3 ingredients and 14 minutes away from a warm chocolatey ice creamy bliss… would you believe me?
Around my home we celebrate everything… someone has a great day at the office, an extra sale at work, learning a new letter of the alphabet, hitting a personal goal of some sort, seeing success and lives changing because of prayer… whatever it is, we find a way to celebrate.
Not always is the celebration a yummy chocolatey ice creamy cookie! Sometimes we have a mini dance party in the living room, or watch a new movie on Netflix, other times it’s just a high five. No matter the size of the celebration we always have a memory making time.
But last night was B I G. It was worth a big celebration… Brady can finally sing all the letters in the alphabet! (I so wish you could hear that sweet voice) And that was worth a delightful treat.
Here’s what you need!
Blue Bell **Homemade** Vanilla ice-cream
Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough
Hersey Chocolate Syrup
Use a little olive oil on a paper towel to grease your cash iron skillet
Press the cookie dough into a thin cookie layer along the bottom of the skillet
Bake at 350 degrees for 14 minutes or until desired doneness
Scoop several scoops of ice-cream on top of the warm cookie
Drizzle with chocolate syrup
You’re welcome!

“Now, now, don’t be hatin’ on my salad”, my bestie told me. As I took a closer look that colorful, berry stuffed, pecan covered salad started to look a little tasty. And then I took a bite… where has this salad been all my life? Y’all, I can’t even explain how delicious it was. I can now admit, at 28 years old, this salad hatin’ mama has been converted!
Let me share with you a couple of my favorites.
I call this the Loaded Berrilicious Salad.

Come to mama!
Spinach Leaves, stems removed… I can’t stand those!
4 strawberries washed and diced
1/4 cup washed blueberries
1/4 shredded mozzarella cheese
2 sliced microwaved turkey bacon, crumbled.
I want my salad loaded! Like a little something yummy with every spinach leaf. You get me, don’t you?
Now, lets talk dressing. Homemade is THE only way! I’m going to share a few of my favorites in another post. But for the time being, I’m loving a simple balsamic vinegar, only 15 calories… you can’t beat that. I love the vinegar flavor. The picture below is the kind I’ve been using. Acutally, I can give ole STUARTO’s the credit for my new salad addicition. Lets just say its that good! I can’t wait to taste their other flavors, too. I’ve also been using the juice from a lemon with salt and pepper.
I call this salad the Minty Candy.. what? It looks like candy!

oh, yeah! It’s that good
seeds from 1 pomegranate
orange slices
a few mint leaves
drizzle of the juice from the orange
salt and pepper
Alright, y’all! What your favorite salad recipe? What do you like to top your salad green with? Any favorite dressing recipes?
