Pinterest Party Review!

Friends, my new bestie Melanie announced that she too was a blogger like me! So, of course I’m in love with her hilarious sense of humor and she is soo stinkin’ cute. I asked her to hop on to my bloggity blog for a little guest post. I was thrilled to read her review of our Exclusive Pinterest Party. Mel, thanks a ton for committing to be my new bestie and spending some time sharing about your experience at my home!

Hi, friends! I’m Melanie, and I blog over at Oh, Mel– my space to share my life with the world. I’m so excited to be guest posting on one of my favorite girl’s blog!

Certified Celebrator, Brittany Young, hosted the party of the year a few nights ago at her gorgeous home! The first ever Fall Pinterest Party did not disappoint.

Brittany, along with Jennifer from Pineapple Lily and Amy from The Sandy Pearls, helped us DIY four different projects, and I have to tell you, I love every single piece! I think you will too.

Stuffed Burlap Pumpkin

After introductions, we jumped right into some burlap stuffed pumpkin tutorials. Jennifer showed us how to sew some painted burlap, stuff the burlap with hay, and tie up the bag to make the cutest stuffed pumpkin ever!

Can you believe she trusted me with a machine?!?!
My friend, Megan Shirley, trying her hand at sewing the sides together.

We still need to tie this up, but look at how cute it already is!

I mean look at how cute this is on my front porch! Love!

Here’s a fb live video of Jennifer and Brittany from a few weeks ago at Jennifer’s shop.

Shabby Chic Pumpkins

After the burlap pumpkins, we moved right into painting our actual pumpkins.

We started with navy spray-painted pumpkins and then Brittany showed us how to paint little flowers on the pumpkin.

If you know me, you know I love a good selfie!

She may look stressed, but let me tell you, Brittany is a pro and helping us take our lack of artistic talents and making something cute!

With two shades of pink and some green, we made the cutest flowers with leaves.

Mid-paint

We all had the same instruction, but every single pumpkin was different and beautiful!

And here’s my little pumpkin on a shelf at home. Love how it resembles that uber-popular Southern brand pattern that rhymes with Silly Gulitzer.

Burlap Sunflowers

Next up was the burlap sunflower demonstration from Jennifer.

I wish I had taken some mid-construction photos, but nevertheless, here is my little sunflower made from a mason jar lid, burlap, and a skewer.

Everything is better with ribbon.

Did you catch Jennifer and Brittany’s tutorial on Facebook? Here they are videoing it live!

If you missed it, here’s the tutorial on how to make your own sunflower!

Megan and I with our own sunflowers. We’re almost ready for a bouquet.

Wire Bangles

Finally, to end the party, Amy Grace from The Sandy Pearl taught us to make our own wire bangle. I’ll be honest, this was what I was most excited to make; you know I love jewelry and this was just the cherry on top of an already fun night!

Here is Amy instructing the group on bangle making.

Working on adding the beads

I chose a gold bangle, silver wire to wrap the stones, and nude color stone for my bracelet.

The bangle I made. I LOVE the silver and gold mix. Megan and I dubbed it the Melahni.

Here’s my stack the nigh of the party. I think these will go with everything!

I even wore my stack the next day to work. I bought the blue, black, and clear stones from Amy, and the gold/silver nude one is my own creation! I love being able to say “I made that!”

Let me tell you, I had the most fun at Brittany’s Fall Pinterest Party. So glad that she, Jennifer, and Amy gave us a night full of yummy food, fun crafts, and wonderful memories with new friends.

Thanks for hosting, Brittany. You were the definitely the hostess with the mostess!

Same time next week?
